Training and support

We provide year-round support and training. WebLion partners receive preferential access.

Much of our time is spent training and supporting partners' staff to create and manage websites and related web applications on the Plone content management system.

  • We run a variety of user groups that mix formal one-to-several instruction with one-on-one tutoring and troubleshooting. Attendance is free for WebLion partners.
  • We provide free online support service via a dedicated IRC channel and our documentation wiki.
  • We engage external trainers to run intensive, week-long technical courses. The costs of hiring the trainer are shared between attendees; they are typically well under $1000 per person per week.
  • We host an annual symposium that attracts Plone experts from other universities, government and the private sector. Partner staff are encouraged to attend the symposium and related workshops and training. (Example: 2008 Plone Symposium East)
