Services provided by the WebLion Group

Consulting

The WebLion team meets with unit staff and administrators before a formal relationship is established. We listen and interpret your needs and with our support, help you draft business and action plans for migrating your Web site to the WebLion content management system.

Training

Most of our time is spent training our partners' IT and design staff to work develop support and design your WebLion site. Our growing community is an important part of the training process - it's a community-based, collaborative, hands-on approach to learning.

We run a number of different user groups. These are free for partners' personnel to attend.

Development

Custom templates and applications for Penn State are what distinguishes WebLion from the technologies on which it is based. Our templates are compliant with policy AD54, and our applications fill critical needs for university web sites - from a directory for faculty and staff, to seamless integration with network security and infrastructure.

Support

The WebLion team has a policy to give highest priority to support our partners and to fix software bugs. Members of our community are often mobilized to help.

The WebLion community is gaining recognition within the international Zope and Plone communities for developing high quality technical documentation. Our support wiki is both home to our documentation and a focus of collaboration.
