Consulting

WebLion can help you improve your web presence. We provide advice to partners on best practice in planning and implementation of web sites and web-based applications.

We work with WebLion partners to:

  • Identify your needs
  • Help you draft business and action plans for meeting those needs

Meeting user needs

We are particularly concerned to help you identify robust and usable information architectures for your website(s). That is, we feel you should:

  • Be aware of your users' needs and expectations
  • Take account of cultural and technological trends
  • Tailor your site (including navigation systems, vocabularies, visual styling, types of content and linking with other sites) to match users' mental models and behaviors
  • Meet best-practice standards in the areas of accessibility and usability

We will advise on how to get feedback from stakeholders and users throughout the process of site development.

Web presence, not just web site

  • Can you increase traffic to your site by having better links in, and being more findable via search engines?  We can increase your chances of being found by search engines and let you track visits to your site quantitatively.
  • Can you use the web to improve some of your administrative and business processes? Some of our partners are using Plone to automate processes such as reviewing student applications and streamlining accreditation audits.
