Want an interesting Plone job at a leading university? WebLion, an internal Plone consultancy at Penn State, host of Plone Symposium East 2008, and holder of the sacred Chalis of Riiks is looking for a top-notch Plonista:

Work in an atmosphere of continual stimulation with a team dedicated to making Penn State’s web presence excel. You will be responsible for development of open-source Web-based content management system components built on the Zope and Plone frameworks, in support of dozens of organizations at Penn State. Duties include designing, developing and maintaining web applications; documenting code and processes; furnishing technical guidance to the team and customers; supporting users and new developers; and keeping tabs on the state of the art. This job will be filled as baseline, intermediate, or mid-level, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires facility with development tools and practices, including object-oriented design, revision control, issue tracking, and automated testing; collaboration tools such as wikis, IRC, and screen-sharing; content management system best practices and knowledge of Zope and/or Plone; and languages such as Python, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and CSS. Excellent writing and speaking skills, as well as a personable demeanor are a must. Candidate will be further advantaged by understanding good information architecture; universal accessibility; visual aesthetics; HTTP, SSL/TLS, Kerberos, and single-sign-on systems; Apache and other Web servers; Linux system administration; or relational databases. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with good possibility of re-funding.
