Plone Symposium East 2009: registration open
Whether you are a website manager, consultant, core developer, or some other kind of Plonista, this event in late May 2009 is for you! Meet new contacts, brainstorm with like-minded people, learn from a wide variety of presentations, and share your experiences and expertise. Propose a talk or training session before March 23, and register by April 20 for an earlybird discount.
Back for an encore performance after our 2008 debut on the regional symposium stage, the WebLion team is hosting a week of training, talk and sprints in the last week of May 2009.
May 28-29: the symposium itself
Two days of presentations, panel discussions, lightning talks and “birds of a feather” sessions.
There will be at least two parallel talk tracks, so if you have an idea for a talk, send us your proposal by March 23. Speakers get a $150 discount on the standard registration price, and many rounds of applause. One of the conference themes will be Plone in Education, so if you are able to pass on advice or experience about using Plone in a school, university or other kind of educational setting, we'd love to hear your proposal.
Registration is now open. Register by April 20 and save yourself $75 on the standard registration price.
May 26-27: training
We plan to offer a range of training from experienced trainers. If you would like to offer 4hr, 8hr or 16hr of training, please submit your proposal by March 23. If you would to receive training on a particular topic, add it to the list of training requests.
Registration for training will be separate from registration for the symposium: we'll post details in early April.
May 30-31: sprints
There are lots of opportunities for improving Plone products and documentation: sign up for a sprint, or propose your own. You'll need to cover your accommodation costs and some meals; lunches will be provided. (What's a sprint?)
