Migrating your site to Plone—the screencast

Rose Pruyne

Have you been considering Plone and WebLion? Are you daunted by the idea of moving your entire Web site into a(nother) content management system? In this panel presentation, developers from around Penn State share their approach to migrating their units' sites to Plone. Some of our presenters work in teams consisting of various specialists (systems administrators, designers, programmers, writers...). Others are their unit's only web person, responsible for everything from site architecture to server security. Experiences range from big bang makeovers of static sites to incremental migration from existing content management systems.

The "Migrating Your Site to Plone" presentation was given at the Penn State Web Conference on June 9, 2008. This is a screencast of the presentation slides accompanied by audio of the speakers. Hear about the advantages and pitfalls of different approaches to moving to the Plone platform from people who have already gone through the process.
