AnonymousCommenting now available

by Eric Steele

A quick little product to set up anonymous commenting on your site.

AnonymousCommenting now available

The AnonymousCommenting form

I found myself setting up anonymous commenting on several sites recently and decided to just make a product to do it for me. It's far from being feature-rich, but I thought that others might find it useful.

AnonymousCommenting:
  • Gives the reply to item permission to anonymous users
  • Replaces the username and password fields with a name field.
  • Sets a default value for the new name field to that of the logged-in user, if available.

You can download it via pypi or plone.org.

Thanks to Jon Stahl, James Cameron Cooper, and Tom Lazar for the necessary code .

If this works, it means AnonymousCommenting does, too. :-)
