The Web Learning @ Penn State front pageThe Web Learning @ Penn State site is a centralized hub that draws together information and resources dealing with online learning in its various incarnations across Penn State.

Use the site to:

  • Learn more about the e-learning cooperative and the world campus, and how they differ from each other
  • Look up e-learning terms in a glossary
  • See if you are ready for the challenge of teaching online
  • Find out about quality assurance standards for online courses

Technical details

Built in Plone version 3.2.2, the site makes use of WebLion products FacultyStaffDirectoryContentWellPortlets and WebServerAuth.

The design, information architecture and project leadership was provided by Stevie Rocco with technical support from Joe DeLuca.

Posted Oct 13, 2009 Portlets gone wild with ContentWellPortlets 2.0.1 This new release adds the ability to add portlets to the footer area. It also has 6 portlet managers per area. This means 20 total portlet managers including the 2 on the sides that ship with plone.
